4D Gel Tutorial

Instructions

Preparation is everything...

  1. Use the Bluesky Nail File to file nails to the desired shape.
  2. Push back cuticles and trim where necessary.
  3. Gently buff nails with your Bluesky Nail Buffer.
  4. Clean nails with a Bluesky Cleanser Wipe.
  5. You'll also want to think about your 4D design beforehand and make sure you have your 4D gel and a brush to apply it.

Get creative...

  1. Apply a thin layer of Bluesky Base Coat to all five nails, capping the ends. Avoid the skin and cuticle.
  2. Cure for 30 seconds under the Bluesky lamp.
  3. Apply your client's chosen Bluesky gel polish - remember, they'll need to choose one that will best compliment the design! Apply a thin coat, cap the end and avoid the skin around your nails.
  4. Cure for 60 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 building up the colour each time. 1 coat will give a sheer finish, 2 is normal, 3 will be a solid colour.
  6. Take your brush and dip it in your 4D gel. Get enough on your brush to make your desired shape for your design depending on how big you want it to be.
  7. Place the gel on a palette or in the palm of your free hand and shape it with the brush.
  8. Use the brush to mould the gel design onto your nail.
  9. Repeat the process until you have created your full 4D design.
  10. Cure for 60 seconds.
