Matrix Gel Tutorial

Instructions

Preparation is everything...

  1. Use the Bluesky Nail File to file nails to the desired shape.
  2. Push back cuticles and trim where necessary.
  3. Gently buff nails with your Bluesky Nail Buffer.
  4. Clean nails with a Bluesky Cleanser Wipe.

Matrix magic...

  1. Apply a thin layer of Bluesky Base Coat to all five nails, capping the ends. Avoid the skin and cuticle.
  2. Cure for 30 seconds under the Bluesky lamp.
  3. Apply your client's chosen gel polish in the same way as the base coat; a thin coat, cap the end, avoid the skin.
  4. Cure for 60 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 building up the colour each time. 1 coat will give a sheer finish, 2 is normal, 3 will be a solid colour.
  6. Take your desired colour Matrix gel. Dip a fine brush into the gel and carefully dot it onto your nail.
  7. Move the brush to the next part of the nail to create your desired pattern and keep going until you've finished.
  8. Cure for 60 seconds.
  9. Here, you can then add more colour or leave the design as it is. Cure for 60 seconds once finished.
  10. Apply a Bluesky Top Coat ensuring you cover your entire pattern. Cure for 60 seconds.
  11. Use a Bluesky Cleanser Wipe to remove the sticky residue leaving your client with super shiny nails.
